I’ve been blogging for a few years now, but I decided to take on a 7-day blog challenge to breathe in some new life around here.
Today, I’m supposed to introduce myself and my blog. Since I’m a Love Coach, and my blog is about any and all things related to dating, love, men and relationships, I want to officially introduce you to the version of myself that finally made it to the love baseline.
Do you know what I mean when I say love baseline? Probably not.
What I mean is my childhood left me with a lot of deep wounds and scars. So I spent a decade in therapy and getting the kind of support and help I needed to work through my shit, so that I could become a well-adjusted adult who is capable of creating a healthy, loving relationship and partnership with a man.
Now that I’ve dealt with all of my backstory, I’m ready to start. I’m at the baseline. I finally have some healthy roots in the soil and my tree is ready to grow.
Now that I’ve said all of that, let’s talk about the basics.
What’s my name: Trenia Parham
What’s a fun fact about me: I love any and all things 80’s. Including the questionable fashion choices and 80’s B-movies.
What do I love to do in my free time: read, binge watch Netflix, brunch (there’s nothing like brunch in NYC), salsa dancing, swimming, going to the park.
Where do I live: New York City (Uptown, baby!)
What’s my favorite thing about myself: I’m open-minded. I embrace people and things that are different from me, even if I don’t completely understand them.
Why did I start blogging?
I’ve been writing and honing my thoughts and ideas about dating, love and relationships for as long as I can remember, and a blog was the perfect way to create a platform to share my thoughts with the world.
Who is the Love, Trenia blog for?
Career-women with some feminist leanings, who are used to kicking ass in just about every area of their lives, but they struggle to create healthy, loving relationships with the right kind of men. It’s for women who try to be superwoman, but have a hard time telling people they love what they need and want.
What’s something I’ve been working on lately that I’m really proud of?
There’s 2 things I’m really proud of:
1. A really cool thing I’ve created to help single women meet great guys.
2. Making a practice out of basic things like making my bed every morning and cooking really good food.
What’s the ONE MESSAGE that I hope people take away from my blog?
To love and be loved as you are feels fucking FANTASTIC.
Now that you know who I am, drop a note a say hello.
